Hi I'm Saunak Patel, but I prefer to be called Sameer! I am a graduate of Delaware State University with a Bachelor’s in Computer Science. I am a passionate developer with a strong background in React, Java, and Python development. I am currently seeking job opportunities that align with the skills I have developed through a range of academic, internship, and research experiences. My work includes building full-stack web and mobile applications, game development using Godot and Java, and conducting machine learning research focused on neuroscience and quantum computing.
I have applied my skills in roles such as a Software Engineer Intern at Dormshops, a Research Assistant at both Delaware State University and Howard University, and a Technical Instructor Assistant at Code Differently. My technical toolkit includes technologies such as React Native, Flask, MySQL, Django, and Swift, along with hands-on experience using tools like TensorFlow, Scikit-learn, and GitHub. I bring not only technical expertise but also leadership experience as Mr. Computer Science in my department, and a strong academic record, graduating summa cum laude with a 3.80 GPA.
During my junior year, I was a part of the Computer Science Student Association (CSSA) board representing as Mister Computer Science. My responsibilites for this role was to attend meetings, host events, and provide assistance if needed. I was apart of hosting DSU's hackathon, which is ran by the CSSA every year. During the hackathon, we have multiple events such as scavenger hunt, workshops, raffles, and games hosted by other boards. But most importantly, we also host our contest that lasts 24 hours, and have participants present their ideas for the given topic.

Completed the Google UX Design Professional Certificate on Coursera, gaining hands-on experience with the end-to-end UX design process. Developed skills in user research, wireframing, prototyping, and usability testing through real-world projects. Followed a structured design methodology to empathize with users, define problems, ideate solutions, and iterate based on feedback. Built a professional UX portfolio showcasing projects that reflect user-centered, accessible, and equity-focused design principles.

I provide support to students that struggle in any Computer Science classes here at Delaware State University. I analyze the way the student thinks and come up with approaches to help the student to create solution they would understand.
I instructed high school interns the basics of web development using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. We have online sessions three times a week and have the students work on sections to help build their skills. As TAs, we also have our own workshops to attend, learning how to develop front-end applications using React and Python Django.
I helped with continuing the development of a startup service called DormShops. This is an iOS developed application using Swift and CocoaPods, and we have weekly meetings to come up with innovative ideas to help improve the user experience.
I am a machine learning researcher focused on analyzing and predicting neural activities in the human brain using advanced techniques such as deep learning and neural networks. I collaborated closely supervisor and team in utilizing our expertise in data analysis, algorithm development, and neural data processing to enhance our understanding of brain function.
I am developed a Battleship-like game that integrates Quantum Computing principles. Using Godot Engine and GDScript, I research and implemented quantum algorithms that influence the game's mechanics. I test and refined innovative gameplay elements driven by quantum concepts, while contributing to the design and development of the project.
